Mage: The Gun Quarter
Hounds of Artemis Commune
Deep in the forest of the Greek island of Chios lies a remote compound. Fully self sufficient, the compound includes a dormitory, a kitchen, a creche, a well, extensive gardens growing both food and medicine, and even a firing range and armory. Home to The Hounds of Artemis, the compound, sometimes known as Gaia by its residents, is kept safe by its isolated location. However, if anyone should make the mistake of attacking Gaia, they would find its residents more than capable of and willing to defend it with firearms and more archaic weapons such as bows and arrows and swords.
On the whole, however, life at Gaia is very peaceful. Its solely female residents spend their time on the extensive manual labour required to maintain such a location, spiritual reflection, meditation, song and dance, creative endeavours, lively debate, child-rearing, and other fulfilling pursuits. Recently Art Valentine and Rory Cooper aided the Hounds of Artemis in creating a wellspring of magical energy at the commune, which the Hounds use to enhance their healing arts, grow better corps, and prepare themselves to defend their lifestyle. In exchange, the Hounds have pledged themselves to The Accord, and of late, life at Gaia has taken a more martial bent.
