Mage: The Gun Quarter
Milly was one of Nick’s conquests from several months ago. She is young, pretty, and like most girls her age, very lost. When she met Nick at a party and he told her that he loved her, she didn’t pay attention to his tone or the circumstances and she believed him. She left her high school sweetheart that had proposed to her and chased after Nick Black. The next time she ran into him, he didn’t even know who she was.
Milly was completely devastated and tried to get back together with her ex fiancé but he had already moved on. There’s an old adage that says “Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned.” And Milly is the perfect example of that proverb. Her obsession with Nick, whom she feels betrayed her and ruined her future, has made her borderline psychotic.
Feeling that she was at the lowest point in her life, and seeing no other way out of her despair, Milly comitted suicide and slit her wrists in the bathtub. She now haunts Birmingham as a wraith and stalks the Church of the First blood, seething with rage. Fortunately, she cannot enter the hallowed ground. David Joy caught sight of her on two separate occasions, but the fact that he could see her scared her away.
Milly Chapel attempted to warn The Serpent Society that Nicholas Black was an evil man, but she warned the wrong group. The Serpent Society are used to being branded as social outcasts, and if anything, this made Nicholas a better candidate for initiation. The bound Milly into a skull and gave it to Nicholas. Unsure of what to do with Milly’s spirit, and fearing that she could eventually do damage to his reputation, Nicholas lulled Milly into a false sense of security before sacrificing her soul to the Spirit of the Church of the First Blood, increasing its power and ridding himself of a liability.
